DSM-5 Criteria for Schizophrenia 


- Two or more of the following are present for a significant 

period of time for 1 month. At least one of these must be 

point 1, 2 or 3. 


1. Delusions 


2. Hallucinations 


3. Disorganized speech 


4. Grossly Disorganized or Catatonic Behaviour 


5. Negative Symptoms 


- Impaired level of functioning in areas of work, 

interpersonal relations, or self-care
