Nuchal Rigidity in Infantile Bacterial Meningitis

Flexion of the neck revealed nuchal rigidity. The patient was unable to lower his chin to his anterior chest. Owing to the hypertonic neck extensor muscle, he elevated his back from the bed as he lifted his head upward.
