Vitreous Hemorrhage on Ocular POCUS



What is the leading cause of this pathology in patients under 40 years of age?

Resolution: Trauma. This clip demonstrates a vitreous hemorrhage. The most common cause of vitreous hemorrhage in patients under 40 yrs old is trauma. Other posterior chamber echoes that can be seen with poc ocular ultrasound include retinal and vitreous detachment.
