Nasopharyngeal Swab - Technique Demonstration

The nasopharynx goes back, not up.

When you take a nasopharyngeal swab or insert nasogastric tube, NEVER aim upwards towards the brain.

Go LOW and go SLOW. Almost parallel to the floor.

By Dr Eric Levi @DrEricLevi

Editor Note: For a real NP swab should leave swab in place for 2-3 seconds then rotate completely around for 10-15 seconds.
