Hyperkalemia on EKG

"Mild" Hyperkalemia

 • Peaked, narrow-based T Waves

 • Double counting of HR by EKG machine

"Moderate" Hyperkalemia

 • QRS widening

 • Sinus bradycardia

 • Various forms of conduction block

 • Loss of visible P waves

 • Pseudo-STEMI / Brugada-like pattern

"Severe" Hyperkalemia: 

 • Sinoventricular rhythm

 • "Sine wave" rhythm

Presence Of EKG manifestations and risk of death is related to both the absolute K+ concentration, the rate of increase, and the presence of other electrolyte abnormalities.
