Chief cell - Pepsinogen
Parietal cell - Acid, Intrinsic factor
G cell - Gastrin
Inhibitors: VIP, GIP, Somatostatin
Phases of acid secretion:
1. Cephalic - Thought, sight or smell of food stimulate the vagus, producing acetylcholine
2. Gastric - Distension by food directly stimulates secretory cells and gastrin release
3. Intestinal - Passage of food into duodenum stimulates Gl hormone release
