Drugs associated with worsening of Myasthenia Gravis (MG): • D-penicillamine • Botulinum toxin. • Telithromycin • Fluoroquinolones • Quinine • Magnesium • Macrolide antibiotics • Corticosteroids (may cause transient worsening within first 2 wks). • Aminoglycoside antibiotics. • Procainamide • Desferrioxamine • Beta-blockers • Statins • Iodinated radiologic contrast agents • Chloroquine/Hydroxychloroquine. Thymectomy soon after first symptomatic presentation of generalized AChR-MG may prevent prolonged myasthenic crisis.
