Pharmacologic options for the treatment of allergic rhinitis include intranasal corticosteroids, oral and intranasal antihistamines, decongestants, intranasal cromolyn, intranasal anticholinergics, and leukotriene receptor antagonists. Decongestants and intranasal cromolyn are not recommended for children.
