Buprenorphine-Naloxone and treatment of withdrawal symptoms



Prerequisites for starting Suboxone in the ED:



1. Patient has an opioid use disorder (OUD)



2. Patient gives informed consent



3. COWS is >12, AND



4. Time since last opioid >12hr (short acting), >24hr (long acting), >72hr (methadone)
