Hypocalcemia Laboratory Evaluation

Serum levels of PTH, phosphorus, 25-hydroxyvitamin D, and 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D can help differentiate between disorders causing hypocalcemia:
 - Hypoparathyroidism
 - Calcium-sensing receptor activating mutation
 - Parathyroid hormone resistance (pseudohypoparathyroidism)
 - Vitamin D deficiency
