Nicotine Replacement Therapy - Dosing Schedules 



Here's an easy way to remember dosing for Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT)! Just ask the patient how much they smoke and when they smoke their first cigarette of the day. There are some other dosing schemes but this generally is the easiest and still effective. Remember that dual is more effective than monotherapy, so if NRT is going to be done, be sure to use the daily patch AND a gum/lozenge as needed.
