2019 ASGE Update: Cholelithiasis - Risk of Choledocholithiasis and Management 



High Risk

 • CBD stone visualized on imaging or 

 • Cholangitis or 

 • Total bilirubin >4 mg/dL and dilated common bile duct 

Medium Risk

 • Abnormal LFTs or 

 • Age > 55 or 

 • Dilated common bile duct (>6 mm with GB in situ) 

Low Risk

 • None of above (symptomatic cholelithiasis without any of these risk factors)
