Transvenous Pacing - Procedure Instructions

Step 1. Place the introducer - ideally in R IJ or L Subclavian

Step 2. Prep the Pacer Wire

Step 3. Set up the Box

 - Connect the Pacer Wire + Generator Box

 - Initial Box Settings 

 - Trouble Shooting the Box

Step 4. Floating the Wire

 - Insert the pacer wire to approx 20 cm

 - Inflate the balloon with 1-1.5 cc air

 - Advance wire with balloon up until you see jump in heart rate

 - Deflate balloon (leave syringe on)

 - Extend the sterile sheath

Step 5. Adjust Pacer Settings

Step 6. Secure the Wire

Step 7. Confirm Placement
