Internal Jugular Vein Anatomy on JVP Examination

Where can I find the IJ?

- Look where SCM attaches at Clavicle.

- Between Sternal and Clavicular heads -> Find Triangle (white arrow) and start your search for the venous pulsations.

 - Vessel that lays on top of SCM is EJ.

 - Both may be engorged when CVP Increased

 - Carotid is Medial to IJ/SCM
