SIRS, qSOFA and Sepsis Definitions

Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome - Present if 2 2 of the following are present:

 • T > 38° C (100.4°F) or < 36°C (96.8°F)

 • Pulse > 90 beats/min

 • RR > 20/min or PaCO2 < 32 mmHg

 • WBC > 12,000/mm3 or < 4000/mm3

Quick SOFA (qSOFA) Score - Sepsis likely present if patient has ≥ 2 points:

 • Respiratory Status - RR > 22

 • Hemodynamics - SBP < 100 mmHg

 • Mentation -  Altered Mentation (any degree)
